In the case of your first swarm, I'd be thinking about horses before zebras. Swarms are pretty mild as a rule when they're fresh out of the hive, but the longer they're out the stroppier they get. A 'dry' swarm that's been out a couple of days without finding a nice home to settle in and they're tummies are long empty are a completely different kettle of fish from a 'wet' swarm.
In the second case, well, there's nothing to say that it wouldn't be a a bad tempered hive wherever it was. Moving it and achieving a change in temperament won't prove anything much either unfortunately, as there are so many other variables to it.
