Which is why I asked the question on who measured what. My understanding 
was that the 70% vs 50% was more seat of the pants than any actual 
measurement, and even then, it was only preliminary.

So all the discussion may be moot, since we are discussing very suspect 
data regardless of the amount of gamma radiation. In this whole CCD 
business there seems to be a lot of good and very bad science and it is 
difficult to sort it out. I would take most of what comes from the Jerry 
B camp as good. I consider everything else suspect, mostly because of 
what I perceive as agendas ("I know the cause now I will prove it.").
