Well, of course 'he' came away without one sting. He had his gloves on from the start.
After I got in the truck he kindly started the smoker and handed it to me in the truck.
He closed the hive back up and we took off. We cleared the remaining bees out with the
windows down going 40 mph.  Oddly enough, a week later I talked to him and he said he
had to move the hives as the owner of the farm had gotten stung several times from
the same hive (he keeps all his hives on trailers and moves them around as needed). A
few weeks ago he told me finally requeened that hive.
