Pretty good.  I found birdseed in the combs and in the screened bottom board 
tray.  I was watching them bring it in in January and February.  Also, one 
of the hives started coming in with deep red abdomens on two different days 
weeks apart.  I guess they found a humming bird feeder.  There is a red dye 
in the syrup.  I also assume they found a second one some weeks later or the 
owner refilled it.

We live at about the same latitude.  I have maples just coming into bloom 
right now.  There is a variety of maples, they don't all bloom at the same 
time.
