1. The Guinness Book of World Records
(1995 edition) has an 80# entry for beebeards
which it calls a "bee mantle" since it covers
the whole body, and not only the face.

2. My friend Jed Shaner of Staunton VA
is listed as the record holder (29jun1991,
343,000 bees).

3. It should have an entry for the greatest
number of performances.

4. Retired school teacher, John Romanik of
Ellicott City, has just done his 103 beebeard,
the real McCoy. He has long been called "the
BeeBeard King of Maryland."

5. Unless anybody out there can challenge him,
I now declare him BeeBeard King of the Universe.
Amen.

Jack the B-man

PS When I saw my first beebeard in 1978, the
Guinness record holdler was Don Cooke, from
near Cincinnati, Ohio, with five (5) pounds!!!
At that time, he had done about 40.
