Hi Bob,

Nicotene is one of the more deadly poisons available to the home
gardener.  Blackleaf 40 is no longer available in many states because of
this.  I strongly suspect that it would quickly kill an entire hive of
bees.  Also, of course, such an application is not legal - must follow
label directions at all times.

I've wondered about the tobacco smoke, too, as possible being harmful to
the bees....might be something in the archive?
