I specifically said when offering a link about gut microorganisms, "Not
to start an off-topic thread or trigger an avalanche of opinions". That
did not seem to help. It makes me afraid to offer such parallels in future.

Maybe I should have titled the post, "Can this be Related to Bee Gut
Studies?".  My mistake.

Could we please just stick to discussing bees and beekeeping, and not go
off on tangents and argue opinions about non-related subjects.

Some of us are here _only_ for bee discussion, not to debate the same
hackneyed controversial off-topic subjects that one can debate anywhere
else.

Here is what is advertised and what subscribers should expect, (with
some latitude). (I don't see human biology in there anywhere).

BEE-L is a moderated list for the discussion of research and
* information concerning the biology of bees. This includes honey
* bees and other bees (and maybe even wasps). We communicate about
* sociobiology, behavior, ecology, adaptation/evolution,
* genetics, taxonomy, physiology, pollination, and flower
* nectar and pollen production of bees.
