Recently I lost a queen about four weeks after starting a new colony from a
3#
package. I replaced her with another of unknown shipping and storage record.
After two weeks there was no sign of eggs or brood. I was nearly pancked but
after checking this morning I was relieved. New eggs ,larva and some capped
brood in a tight pattern. Perhaps she had been held to long and was not in
good health when received but with good syrup and good workers she is now on
the way to a good career.
