Hi:

I must have missed something.  I can understand why a bread knife wasn't
much good as an uncapper.  But why all of the hot wire discussion when one
can more simplsy (and probably cheaply) buy an electric uncapping knife or,
if you want to conserve energy, an uncapping comb?

FYI, some of the commercial beekeepers use steam-heated uncapping knives.
