Wax secretion occurs between 91 and 97 F--granted, of course, that there
are plentiful nectar, honey, sugar syrup as well as ample pollen
consumption (Sammataro and Morse The Beekeeper's Handbook 19).  Hence,
utilizing this knowledge, a savvy beekeeper puts a captured swarm into work
by dumping foundation into the hive.
