I opened 80 hives today and one was the hive from hell! Black, ugly, and they
followed me for 20 minutes, attempting to sting. I was adding boxes and when
I removed the covers the bees came out in thousands. I captured a few and saw
no sihn on them that said "beware African Honeybees". How can you tell? I
bought 25 packages and 25 queens from the south this spring. Could one have been
an African?
