"South Africa do import honey, yet still have no
problem with AFB...am I wrong? Is the AFB resistance not part of the reason"

It is illegal to import honey into SA without irradiating it. This is one
precautionary method to try and prevent AFB in SA. I don't think resistance
has anything to do with it.
