Hi all

Looking back: the Bee-L discussion group has been going since 1989! I joined about ten years in, 1999. Hard to believe that more than 15 years have gone by. A lot has changed during that time; much has stayed the same ...

I want to personally thank those people who have encouraged my research and work over the years, and especially those kind folks who invited me to their states this year. I got to go to many places I had never been before, like Seattle, Boulder, and Madison, IN.

My aim for the coming year is to focus more on writing, specifically for the American Bee Journal. If you don't get the magazine, then by all means start. The cost is minimal; the benefit is large. Also, the new edition of the Hive and the Honey Bee is incredible. Congratulations to Joe Graham and everyone who made that happen!

Here's wishing everyone Happy Holidays and Prosperity in the New Year!

Pete
