I am participating on a lively debate on an online page and I have a question about it for the experts. On Bee Informed There is a picture of adult varroa mites feeding on open dying brood. https://beeinformed.org/2013/10/15/parasitic-mite-syndrome-pms/
The debate is whether or not this actually happens. There is a reference in the debate that this is research done by Rob Snyder. (Pardon me if the spelling is wrong and especially if he is on the list!) I cannot find scholarly papers that say specifically varroa feed on open brood. I have more questions but perhaps the proper research material would answer my quests.

Best,

Natalee Thompson
