In the upstate region of New York State near Saratoga where I keep my bees, I
checked my 90 hives on this fine warm day. I have stopped wrapping because of
experiments I have done in the past so I was concerned this year because of
the particularly cold winter, a normal winter some say. Out of the 90 I saw
good life in 77 of them. It truly is a miracle after such cold as we have
had. They are not out of the woods yet but things look promising.
