Hi Jerry.
I am the originator of the mineral oil research project. I started using
mineral oil looking for an alternative to A. strips (because I thought that
the mites would eventually develop resistance to flavulinate, the active
ingredient in A. strips; and it has already done so!)
Mineral oil is effective as corroborated by the testimony of others who are
using it.
You might find info about the use of mineral oil in the Bee-L archives.
Just in case I am attaching my files (previously posted on bee-L for your
benefit. Please let me know if you get them okay. FGMO, means food grade
mineral oil. It means that it has been approved by the federal government
for use in food handling operations.
Best regards.
