gee why didn't I think of that.

I too was hoping for some suggestions on how to control the small hive
beetles.
Most important i have found is using the strips on the bottom board under a
piece of cardboard. I am afraid that the reason noone has come forward is
because there are no good answers. Dr hood at clemson is doing research on
the beetles but there are no easy answers yet. Someone suggested that a fire
ant colony in front of the hive will control the larvae that leave the hive
to pupate. Some kind of chemical or physical barier on the ground in front
of the hive is sure to be part of the solution.
