ANyone can provide info about this tumor in rats?

Twenty years ago pet rats got very popular in my area. I was working as a
vet tech and we did numerous surgeries to remove tumors from pet rats.
People do not tend to bring a rat to the vet unless there is a problem. I
was always surprised what they were willing to spend on a rat, their life
span is so short only 2 - 3 years.
