Hi all

The general public has a sort of love/hate relationship with technology. They seem quick to condemn high tech solutions for real world problems, but they do it via the latest electronic gadget. Another important common phenomenon is what I call "taint".

Have you noticed that when good people like Jerry Hayes join companies like Monsanto, everyone alleges that he gets the taint. Do they not think that he will bring good ideas and integrity with him? Are good people tainted by association with the rest of the money grubbing world? By that logic, we'd best not leave our houses.

This country included among its founding principles "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". Capitalism flows quite logically from this. Only when basic needs are met, do people begin to become truly conscious of others and develop compassion. A hungry man seeks only to get his next meal, whereas the prosperous can and do share.

The bee hive is a crowning example of capitalism, regardless of what socialists will tell you. Bees may work together as a hive, but they will kill their next door neighbor for a crumb. The beekeeper, on the other hand, wants to colonies to get along in the apiary, and will take from the fortunate to help the disadvantaged.

Pete
