Can Bee-Max PE hive-top feeders be used with standard wooden hive boxes? My home-made wooden feeders all leak within a year or so (handling? temperature/humidity changes?). Lloyd Spear says the PE feeders are great, so I'm tempted to buy a few and try them out.

I expect I'll have to build or buy new hive covers if I get the feeders, right?
