Greetings.  I too remember the "H" bees from my youth.  My grandfather raised
honeybees in Southern California.  He had eight hives in his backyard. I was
probably about 8 or 9 years old and he would give us some to play with.  I
don't remember what their honey production was like, but I also would be
interested to hear from anyone with information about these interesting bees.
