What a fascinating submission from Mr Boys. There has been a revival of
interest in the Apidictor lately and it would be good if somebody could pick
up this ball and run with it.

The valve at the entrance to the spiracles interests me. Would a bee
infested with Acarine (tracheal mite to Americans) produce a different sound
to one uninfested? Could it be detected and identified with a modified
Apidictor?
