Hello All,
Maternal VDD (Vitamin D Deficiency) & Child ADHD: In 2015, researchers found ADHD-like symptoms decreased as maternal 25(OH)D3 levels increased. Higher maternal circulating 25(OH)D3 levels during pregnancy related to lower risk of ADHD-like symptoms in childhood. [Source: Epidemiology. 2015 PMID: 25867115]
Takeaway=> Be sure your new moms-to-be and BF moms get checked for VDD and boost levels ASAP with OTC D3, with knowledgeable medical guidance. The window of time pre-conception to when ADHD behaviors show is small, so reducing the risk by even a small percent==> can be big!
