Toss the tack hammer and get a pneumatic stapler that shoots one inch coated staples. A dream come true for production and you can even shoot one sideways through the end-bar into the top-bar for extra lateral strength. Skip the glue and instead use ceramic coated screws to assemble boxes. They give you a level of control for aligning the box joints and the joints will never fail even without glue. Also, for that single half joint on top- drill that one out so the screw doesn't split it.
Collect propolis and make a varnish for brushing on the smooth surfaces inside boxes. Saves the bees some work, brings in some antimicrobial properties and if nothing else it makes the shop smell nice. An alternative is to cut plastic propolis traps down and fasten them onto the inside of box surfaces. The bees will propolis the spaces.
