It is unlikely beetle eggs could survive the processing needed to get the
pollen substitute powder reduced to pollen size. Keep in mind that pollen
subs were designed to be good food for bees, which also makes it good food
for other insects (SHB). Thus we are providing a good source for SHB, so
the concept of placing smaller amounts of patties in hives for shorter
consumption time frames is likely the best solution. I don't think we can
put something in patties to discourage SHB with discouraging bee consumption
of these products.
