Kathy, thanks, this is helpful. However, the *easiest* and *fastest* way to follow a thread is if everyone would use their "reply" button, which automatically inserts the *same* words into the subject, making it unnecessary for others to search the archives, at least for the recent posts. Of the 100 or so lists that my husband and I subscribe to, this is the *only* list where people don't use a consistent word/phrase for the same topic. Having the same topic also helps readers to quickly see what the most "hot" topic is. >It is quite easy to do an archive search to find all the messages about a >particular topic, regardless of what the subject line may read. If you >want to see what has been said on LactNet about ICEA and violations of the >WHO Code, just do an archive search on ICEA since October 1999 (since this >is a recent thread). The subject line may read "I'm pissed" or "Integrity" >or something else, but the archive search will find all the posts that >mention ICEA in the body. -- Marie Biancuzzo Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist [log in to unmask] Resources to simplify breastfeeding management are available at http://www.wmc-worldwide.com *********************************************** The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
