Lawrence (p 227, 5th edition) says "no known disadvantages [of breastfeeding]
exist for the normal infant."  That translates to "no known advantages" of
bottle feeding.  And the same statement appeared also in the earlier editions.

Really, from the baby's point of view, the only benefit of the bottle is that
he or she (as a toddler) can carry food around and not have to ask for it as
often.
