I questioned Tom Hale about topical [stuff you apply to the skin] treatments
and breastfeeding at a recent conference. He couldn't come up with any that
were contraindicated.  The systemic absorption, and thus the serum level of
any topical drug is minute - if  measurable at all - and therefore won't
pose a risk by entering the breastmilk.
