John Smyth wrote: >Hmmmm. Politicians have people to catch this kind of stuff! John was referring to two different posts of mine where he's sure he's caught me in a contradiction. But, in one post I was talking about individuals who totally dislike, even detest, modernist music. In the other, my focus was individuals who also bad-mouth the work, the composer, and the listener who claims to like it. I think that's a major difference. Politicians would do well not to hire John. John also referred to a posting I started more than a year ago, "The All-Wrong CD Awards." That posting's main reason for being was to provide humor, but I did write unkindly of certain artists. I'm not like that anymore (sounds like Clint Eastwood in The Unforgiven). I've had my personality-change operation and am a kind person now. Mr. Smyth either has a great memory (I hardly remembered the posting), went to Dave's Archives on a hunting expedition, or printed a copy of my post when it was current. Whichever, I am impressed.
