Can't remember if I've sent this message to both Lactnet and Kathy so I'll post it again just in case (Had my 30st birthday yesterday, is that a valid reason?) At 08:24 30-6-99 EDT, you wrote: >Have any of you worked with moms who's infants have been diagnosed with >osteogenesis imperfecta? Hi Kathy, Not too long ago I've kind of worked with a dyad of which the baby was diagnosed with O.I.. I didn't really worked with them as a L.C., (provided them with a pump). Like you, I've immediately posted this to the list and asked for help. There is info in the archives, check for info about Osteogenesis Imperfecta around february 1999. On the internet there is a site with literally tons of info on it (Thanks again Katherine Dettwyler). This is the URL: Http://www.oif.org/ By the way, 'my' mother is breastfeeding her daughter as we speak (5 months now). She fed her "bend over her", if you know what I mean. To the best of my knowledge she is now holding her for feeds. Hope this helps a little, Warm regards, Renate Rietveld, IBCLC The Netherlands e-mail: [log in to unmask] -------------------------------------------------------------- Renate Rietveld, IBCLC E-mail : [log in to unmask] Homepage: http://www.casema.net/~rietveld/index.htm -------------------------------------------------------------- *********************************************** The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
