Hi to all. I just found out that I am pregnant (yipee!) and, as my husband is active duty military, I must register with the Naval Medical Center San Diego Prenatal Program. The handout with the registration information has a picture of a stork carrying a baby holding the nefarious bottle, which in turn, is releasing 4 drops of what I seriously doubt is EBM. Does anyone with military medicine or nursing connections know who I should write to/talk to about this? Wouldn't a nice breastfeeding image demonstrate better support of optimal care and health? This paper is given to all newly pregnant military dependents in the San Diego area--believe me, there are a lot! Further, in the description of "full-scope obstetrical care" there is no mention of their breastfeeding support, which is actually rather decent. Anyone have connections??
