"Rob So THAT'S why you, as a pediatrician, would be prescribing medication for a MOM! I wondered about that! Even though you were dealing with mastitis, not thrush, this question confronts us frequently: "Who all to have mom call, and how to get both mom and babe treated simultaneously when need be?" This is a dilemma that presents in offering support to a WIC mom whose tales of woe suggest thrush. Jean " Personally I want my patients mom's calling me for thrush and mastitis and I treat them both. Treatment includes giving mom Jack's handout from Linda or Cindy's web page. This way it gets done right. I've had a few mom's call because they are "treated" for mastitis and not sure if they can breastfeed on the antibiotic or have been told not to breastfed on the antibiotic. -Rob Rob Cordes, DO, FAAP, FACOP general pediatrician Wilkes Barre, PA mailto:[log in to unmask] *********************************************** The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
