Hello all, I'm a little late on this thread as I'm trying to catch up so please forgive me if someone has already posted these suggestions. The only military hospital that I know of to receive BFHI designation is the Army hospital at Ft Irwin, not that others of us arn't trying ;) . I totally agree that Patient affairs, the head of OB and hospital commander would be great suggestions to write letters to with a few tidbits on healthy people 2000 and some information on decreasing health care costs (as the defense budget decreases and Tricare gets more money - less expenditure grabs serious attention) I would also submit to you that there is one person who publishes the handout for the class and would bet that if given a ready made alternative flyer for the class they would submit it instead of the old one at the next mass publication. Just some quick suggestions from someone involved with a military OB orientation program.
