I DO teach about this both prenatally and at other appropriate times.
There is a wonderful graphic in the Childbirth Graphics slide set (87)
edition that shows a comparison and the amount of water to fat.  I think
Chris or Kay compared the difference once to chinese food vs.
Thanksgiving dinner! parents need to know this information because it
helps them understand why babies need to stay at the breast for more
than 10 minutes each side. This information came in handy this past week
when working with a mom with a slow gaining baby, short frequent feeds,
giving water (!) and lots of pacifier.
