Elisheva, There are side-car type cribs you can buy now. They're advertised in Mothering magazine and other publications. I made one (with some help) for our third child, who was so active that he kept my husband asleep if he slept between us (we just have a queen bed). I had an old wooden portacrib someone had given me. I had a carpenter cut off the front side except for reinforcement at mattress level. We pulled it up to the side of our bed and attach it to the bed frame with c-clamps. When we need to move it to change sheets, etc. it's easy to take the clamps off and then put them back on. Hope that helps. Sometimes it's actually been my husband who sleeps (partially) in the crib, but that's another story! :-) Lucy Towbin, MSW, IBCLC *********************************************** The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
