Richard Pennycuick asks: >The only version of the fantasia I own is on a 10" LP, which confirms my >dinosaur status. One minor reason for buying a CD of it is for some notes >so that I might eventually learn what it is the choir's singing. There's a Dover Score of the fantasia at very reasonable price, coupled with the triple concerto! Have a look in Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk for details. (But the Dover Score uses the soprano clef for the Sopranos - middle C on the lowest stave line!). The words are basically a hymn to the efficacy of music <g>. Coincidentally I have just sung this piece with a small local choir, and was on the orchestral arrangement committee, so I've been throught the score carefully.
