But the truth that the actual statistics from the local agency would tell will never be known, because without the BF Coordinator to gather *accurate* numbers, and compile meaningful reports, the numbers will be untrustworthy and meaningless. Not to mention that without a BF Coordinator to train and manage the peer counselor program, and handle the in-depth BF education, and help women trouble-shoot any BF problems, I don't think we can really expect those numbers to keep rising. Bitter? Moi? Not a bit of it - just saying what's true in my little corner >> Or how about the Coordinator who was cut to 10 hrs/ week from 24 hrs/week with a caseload of 840 clients. And then no one even says anything about how the coordinator is doing a great job when she volunteers 10- 20 hrs/week to try to keep the program running. Of course the coordinator called it quits after 3 months of this abuse when the WIC director told her there was $15000 left over in a grant and she had decided how to spend it-- on a clerk to help do paperwork. Not a PC, a clerk. With money from a grant for a PC program. Bitter, no , just very sad. ( OK maybe bitter!). And the Moms will never know they aren't getting a BFing PC or a IBCLC, just a clerk.
