If this isn't off topic, it's very close, so I will be brief, and I apologize
in advance. A close and dear relative has battled Crohn's disease for more
than 20 years-- it is now causing her distress in her upper gastro-intestinal
tract as well as the lower. This relative happens to have a close, safe and
free source of human milk-- her adult daughter. She is considering taking
advantage of this fact, the daughter is willing to pump to provide milk. I
have the case study/ article by Pamela Wiggins, and I have searched the
Lactnet archives and followed every slim lead-- understandably there is
little "hard" evidence that this would be helpful. She is not expecting a
"cure" but even a lessening of symptoms would be wonderful. Thus I turn to
you. At this point I would be grateful for even unsubstantiated, anecdotal
experiences. If you have any to share, will you send them to me at

Thank you!
