The astute Dr. Jack and Jill Lund pointed out to me that DHA is not in formula in the US. I know the breastmilk has it, but I was writing in response to Amer.Baby mag which stated moms need to take extra supplements of it and "bottle-fed newborns get the from infant formulas" and later "the body can synthesize DHA from linoleic acid, a fat found in canola oil, walnuts, and wheat germ, as well as infant formula." The article was written by a dietician. I guessed that this was as a result of a new formula that had added the DHA. If anyone knows more, please enlighten.
