Hello All, I can't recall who posted the original question on this, but acceptance by an IBCLC or ANYother health worker of notepads, pens, growth charts, free lunches, or any other gifts from an infant formula manufacturer is a violation of the Who Code, specifically article 7.3: "No financial or material inducements to promote products within the scope of the Code should be offered by manufacturers or distributors to health workers or members of their families, nor should these be accepted by health workers or members of their families." The Code was ratified by the US government when President Clinton signed it in the early 90's. Hope that gives you the back-up you need.
