I'd add Boyd Neel to the above list for his London recordings of the Opus
6 concerti grossi that appeared in the early 50s.  Berkshire has a 2-CD
set of BN conducting them on Pearl (CDS 9164) but doesn't specify which
performances they are.  I have a CD version of his performing those
symphonies from an earlier period and unlike the later ones, they shmalzed
up to the point of embarrassment.  I have no way of determining which
recordings Berkshire was now making available.  Based upon past experience,
I don't expect much help from the person taking the order over the
telephone.  Anybody out there know, maybe?
