Much of the process of musical development is as exciting as writing a term paper for school. Who'd want to see a movie about that? One of the few film images that I can recall of a composer actually having to work is found in the sequences in "Amadeus" where Wolfie actually had to think about (IIRC) some things in the "Magic Flute" score rather than just dashing off masterpieces with no apparent effort. Forman & Co. spiced this scene with alcohol, and fortunately for the film didn't dwell on it too long. Aaron J. Rabushka [log in to unmask]
