Dear Lactnetters; "I am told that food banks appreciate having formula donated......so does the Red Cross." I do not believe that we should be *donating* ABM to anyone. All it does is show acceptance for the ABM companies' marketing practices. It is no different than taking discharge packs. Cases of ABM should be returned to the company - *Return to Sender* (don't pay postage on this). File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission for Code violation. Contact your Senator to help with the complaint. This is a way to affect change. BTW, the Red Cross can purchase ABM or the ABM co. can *donate* if they wish. Displaced people who have no clean water CANNOT use ABM. "Also, shelters for women and children would probably have a use for it." Sorry to be so disagreeable about this but...homeless women have NO safe place to mix ABM, carry it or store it. Johanna Berger, LSW Breastfeeding Counselor Bala Cynwyd, PA
