Just today, I went to down to the local Borders store and spotted a couple
of interesting CDs in the bargain/cutout section which I hope somebody can
help me out if they are worth purchasing.

Lutoslawski: Concerto no. 3 (If I am not mistaken) with Concerto for
Orchestra Barenboim/CSO

Since I am currently following Naxos' Lutoslawski works for orchestra, I'm
wondering if this disc is worth spending $8 on.

I also found a collection of 20th century orchestral works by Messiaen,
Lutoslawski and other composers titled (in typical Sony fashion) "At the
edge of dreams" conducted by Eka Pekka Salonnen (sp?). Opinions anybody?

Another interesting collection I found consisted of entirely 20th
century Piano works by various avant-garde composers on a Argo label disc.
Interesting but I find it daunting to listen to radical works on piano (as
opposed to the orchestra, chamber works) even if it cost me only $8 to
purchase it.

Apologies if the information about the CDs are less the complete due to
circumstances which did not allow me enough time to copy them down.
