Does this article say both that "many of the drugs...can be safely used" but that in particular "taking theophylline...may produce toxic effects" -- eg, that for asthma in the mom theophylline is not the drug of choice? Or is the first their quote and the second your comment? In either case, would you mind for those of us who are academic-journal- impaired telling how much theophylline is maybe how bad for babies? I've never yet heard anybody warn about drinking tea during lactation, so I'm assuming you have to get to seriously therapeutic doses before this question kicks in?
