Subject: EZZO'S CLASS TAUGHT IN HOSPITAL HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII

i'm new to this so please bear with me.I"m a new l.c. at the hospital i work
at.In south florida[yes the weathers great, sorry] . anyways I work in the
NICU and as we generally tend to stay to ourselves in that dept. I found out
quite by accident that part of our hospitals' prenatal education options our
lucky parents can attend a parenting course called BABYWISE. For a fee of
course. It is not taught by anyone on staff at the hospital but is taught at
the hospital and in case the parents foget anything they were taught they get
a book to take home. This hospital just spent big bucks to train 6RNS to
become IBCLCs, and claim to be pro breast-feeding. When I questioned the LDRP
educator about this program she could see no reason to get rid of it. Did I
mention that this same person is an IBCLC? Scary huh?
Well now for my big problem I need documentation to support my case against
offering babywise at the hospital, something from the AAP , Real doctors ,
etc would be great. Im having a meeting with the higher-ups soon and need all
the ammo I can get. anyone? any suggestions? thank-you in advance
