Aloha, I too had to supply doctor's notes to my children's school, so they would not be "forced" to take the milk. I still had to go into the cafeteria a few times until the workers there got to know my kids should not be given milk. My 5 year old was a little intimidated about speaking up (hard to believe). I resent this very much. Why do I need a doctor's note? I am the mother! My children are seen as the odd ones by the staff. Goodness sake, this is Hawai'i where the majority of the population is Asian and Pacific Islander. Milk shouldn't even be an option in the schools here! Down off the soap box.
