Has anyone on the list had a chance to read "A theory of planned
behavior-based structural model for breast-feeding"? It's in the Nov/Dec
98 issue of Nursing Research. I hate to admit this, but this article was
WAY over my head. I can usually read research articles without much
difficulty but this one threw me for a loop!

Am I the only one who gets irritated at the plethora of mumbo-jumbo in some
of these manuscripts that are published? I think of Nancy Nurse, on the
maternity unit, caring for a mother baby couplet trying to make sense of
this information in her efforts to promote and provide "evidence-based
practice". How can she or he do it when what you are reading is so obscure
to most people working in the trenches of perinatal nursing? We aren't
idiots. Most of us have even had undergraduate education regarding nursing
research. Maybe I'm just sleep-deprived or just downright grouchy! : )
Enough ranting...
