Was seeing a mom & baby at the hospital. The baby was a screamer....he'd
latch, go through several sucking bouts, then scream. Latch back on -- same
thing. Ugh. I'm positive it was because he wasn't getting milk from the
breast in the same manner that he got it from the Avent bottle. Sigh. Mom's
milk was in, in any case, and she was pumping because she was engorged. I
poured some of it in the cap for the bottle (makes a great little cup), and
was cup feeding when her OB walked in.

He: "Are you feeding that baby with a CUP?"
Me: "Yep -- isn't he smart to be able to take it so well?"
He: "I've never seen anything like that before!"
Me: Gave a quickie explanation as to why we were doing that.
He: "Thanks so much for teaching me something new!!"

I can't wait to hear what he thought when he came in the next day and
discovered cabbage peering out of his mom's bra.....
