That is to say, of the 59.2% of people who leave the hospital breastfeeding, just over one fifth of THEM are still breastfeeding at 6 months. Thus, for every 100 mothers giving birth, 59 leave the hospital breastfeeding (41 start on formula) and 13 are still breastfeeding at 6 months.
